ALL ABOUT DEVOUR SPAIN

Hi there! Hola! We’re a small team of food lovers who call Spain home and who are passionate about sharing this country’s spectacular food and its fascinating story with you on our tapas tours, food tours and wine experiences.

We hope you’re hungry!

We know it’s tough to get past the tourist traps and eat like the locals do. So our mission is to give you an insider’s peek into the real Spain, and a taste of the country’s true local cuisine. Day and night, we eat our way through neighborhoods, local markets, tapas bars and restaurants (research never tasted so good!), searching for the most delicious dishes and tastiest bites.

And only the best ones make it onto a Devour Spain food tour.

It All Starts With Amazing Food

Mama Carmen Barcelona Food Tour

Mama Carmen presents her homemade fideúa on a Barcelona food tour.

But we don’t stop there. Our tours are not just about food. You’ll also discover the local culture, history and traditions behind the neighborhoods we visit– because where, what and how people eat is one of the best ways to understand a place. And behind each delicious taste on our tours is a proud, passionate local, and telling you their story is an essential ingredient in every Devour Spain food tour. In an age when chains are taking over, we’re committed to supporting the little guys. Local chefs, specialty food shop owners, and neighborhood food entrepreneurs are the lifeblood of their communities, and the true soul our tours.

“Without rent controls, so many emblematic places are closing, and everything is starting to look the same,” Rosa says. “We’ve had two tough years. It’s been difficult to meet our expenses. That’s why this tour has been crucial for us.”– Rosa Tosca

You’ll be in the Best Hands

And what about our guides? We know that along with the food, the most important thing on a food tour is your guide. And that’s why we are very selective about who we work with, resulting in a team of guides who are the smartest, most passionate, most talented bunch of Spain gurus around.

They not only know and love this country, but are gifted storytellers and have a rare knack for making you just as excited about Spain as they are!

So why not join one of our fun and fascinating food tours; why not see and taste the real Spain? Guidebooks might tell you where to eat. But we’ll show you what to eat and why. People have told us that our enthusiasm is contagious – we think you’ll agree!
