We had black-label Iberian ham with a very nice cheese and dry sherry. Sophie gave us a background on how the hams are produced and classified which was very interesting. We recommend doing this tour early in your visit as it helps to familiarise yourself with the place.
The acorn-fed Iberian ham was absolutely divine, and aged sheep cheese with a glass of dry manzanilla sherry. Sophie provided us with detailed information about the curing process of the ham, and sherry making in Spain. This has definitely been one of the best tours to learn about local food and culture we have ever participated in. Kudos to Devour Seville Food Tours and our lovely guide Sophie.
Jaimie was great! He really is interested in the food, culture and history of Sevilla and thus gives a great, well-rounded experience. If you like ibérico ham, this is a must tour! We loved the wine we had on this tour and went back the next day to buy a bottle to take back to the States with us. We would have bought the ham as well if we could get it past customs.
